General Engineering Consultant for CTRMA

RS&H, in a strategic partnership with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, recently took the reigns as the new General Engineering Consultant (GEC) for the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA). This three-year contract, with the potential to be a seven-year contract, will encompass full GEC services. RS&H will be engaged with multiple corridors in various stages of development and help bring mobility solutions throughout central Texas.

The CTRMA is heavily focused on environmental stewardship and investigating Greenroads certification on two of their current projects under construction, including the SH 45SW project in southwest Austin. Greenroads is an independent, point-based sustainability rating system (similar to LEED certifications for buildings) that will certify the agency’s performance. RS&H is managing the SH 45SW project, which is an innovative four-lane divided toll road featuring extensive water quality protection measures, bicycle and pedestrian accommodations, and Green Mobility Challenge and context sensitive solutions initiatives. RS&H is playing a large role in evaluating the benefits of the Greenroads program and looking for ways to implement the system on future CTRMA projects.
