FSCJ Deerwood Center Remodel

This project for Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) consists of an expansion of the existing Deerwood Center via an 80,000-square-foot remodel in an existing shell space. The two-story, 80,000-square-foot space will contain ten classrooms, six science labs, a 24,000-square-foot Information Learning Center (media center and continuing education), a nursing suite, bookstore, performing arts center, student services area, student fitness center, and administration offices. Laboratories include teaching and preparatory labs for biology, biochemistry, anatomy, and earth sciences. Services provided include architecture, interior design, civil, landscape, MEP, IT, education specifications, selective demolition documents, and commissioning.

This space completes the transition of a former retail mall into Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Deerwood Center.
