Programming

The art and science of facility programming is more than developing space lists and identifying square footage. It is the analysis of required space for specific functions and the synthesis of value-stream mapping through effective space modeling. Following this approach, RS&H helps clients develop efficient and effective facility programs that take into consideration all elements of the design, including linear bench space, equipment space, write-up space, and process-driven adjacency planning.

RS&H also takes the narrative and numbers of a facility program into three dimensions through the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to effectively communicate these program models to the entire team, owner, and stakeholders. Our facility programs balance aspiration and need through a collaboration work session process. By providing thoughtful guidance, we develop consensus while aligning budget, scope, and implementation strategies.
