Toledo Express Airport

RS&H serves as the airport’s general consultant and provided engineering, construction administration, and resident project engineering services for the rehabilitation of the airport’s primary runway, Runway 7-25. The rehabilitation program included performing a detailed pavement evaluation, developing rehabilitation options, cost estimates, and design. The pavement investigation and analysis used a combination of the geotechnical investigation and field pavement survey, which indicated that the surface could be rehabilitated with selected base repairs. RS&H also designed complete replacement of all electrical equipment associated with the runway.

The airport alsocommitmented to upgrading the existing lighting and signage systems to LED technology., RS&H made sure all new fixtures were designed to meet the airport’s requirements. As a supplement to the Construction Safety Phasing Plan requirements, RS&H assisted the airport with a Safety Risk Assessment (SRA) review meeting, which was conducted under the Airport’s Safety Management System (SMS) Plan.
