Hangar A936 Renovations

RS&H served as designer-of-record on this design-build renovation, which included 60,000 square feet of maintenance and squadron operations offices and 36,000 square feet of hanger bay area. The project was completed while the facility was operational, and included the complete replacement of the mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems, as well as all new, secure spaces, which meet Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) criteria.  Significant elements of the project include: 

  • Complete renovation of the supplies rooms, maintenance areas, administrative offices, operations rooms, ready rooms, meeting and training rooms, locker rooms, and a lounge
  • Structural repairs, including rehab of all stairs, and replacement of all interior partitions, wall panels, and frames 
  • Complete replacement of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection and, electrical systems 
  • Updated interior finishes 
  • New, secure INTEL space for Squadron Operations Intelligence Officer
  • New roofing and hanger bay doors
  • New Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) Fire Protection System at the hangar bay, including a new AFFF Collection System
