Bartram Degree Completion Center

The Bartram Degree Completion Center in Jacksonville, Florida, is planned to be a two-story, 50,000-square-foot building with LEED Silver certification. It will be constructed as an Enhanced Hurricane Protection Area (EHPA) in accordance with the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF). RS&H is providing architecture, engineering, interior design, laboratory planning and design, and landscape architecture services. The overall aesthetic of the building and the finishes are modern, sleek, and corporate in nature to appeal to students and corporate users. It also portrays the concepts that the center embodies.

The center features a variety of functional spaces that are designed to provide students the resources and training they need to succeed. A Student Success Center is located on the ground floor and contains advisors, the business office, and the Assessment and Testing Center. The building will also house six classroom areas and two hybrid laboratory areas. These spaces intermingle with multiple study pods allowing for individual study and group collaboration of students and staff.

The building also has a Campus Resource Center on the second floor and includes computer stations, additional study pods, and collaboration areas for adjunct faculty and ancillary administration. There are also several spaces on the ground floor that are available for use by the corporate community for training and seminars.
