RS&H provided reconstruction and widening support for the 12-miles of general-purpose lanes and shoulder of westbound I-70 from Empire Junction to east of Idaho Springs in Colorado to accommodate a lane on the shoulder for use during peak travel periods.
RS&H’s thorough understanding of railroad guidelines and evaluation of hazards to navigable airspace allowed the Tollway’s jurisdictional agency coordination to continue without delay. RS&H’s analysis reduced the size of the I-490 bridge by over 30 percent, saving more than $20 million in planning level costs for the Tollway.
To support the growing mission of the Special Forces at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, RS&H provided multi-discipline design services for various facilities at the Naval Special Warfare Center Advanced Training Command.
Working in concert with Wells Fargo leadership, RS&H designers introduced the work café concept where employees were encouraged to use the space not only to eat their lunch, but to work as well. NASA Kennedy Space Center entrusted RS&H to vet the feasibility of and design modifications to the Space Launch System (SLS) Mobile Launcher. The 355-foot-tall mobile launcher is designed to support the assembly, testing, check out, and servicing of NASA’s SLS rockets, as well as transfer the rockets to the pad.

RS&H Inc. is providing a Consultant Project Engineer for the I-25 Express Lanes Segments 5 & 6. This CMGC project will add increased capacity by widening I-25 in both directions with the addition of express lanes and replacing several aging bridges.
Central 70 is one of the most impactful projects of our generation, projected to result in $18 billion of new economic activity in Colorado by 2040. Consisting of reconstructing 10 miles of I-70, this $1.2 billion project was initiated to address local and regional congestion and to revitalize the local economy.
CDOT Region 1 contracted RS&H to provide Procurement and Construction Management services for this $276 million design-build project. The project widens and reconstructs the highway and adds tolled express lanes to increase mobility and user choice along 12.5 miles of C-470 from I-25 to Wadsworth Boulevard.
RS&H started conducting bridge inspections in Texas with a team of three, inspecting approximately 30 structures per month. We have since grown into a team of 20, managing 150-200 structural inspections annually nationwide.
