[St. Louis, MO]—Employee-owned engineering, architecture and consulting firm RS&H is set to open a new office in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri. This strategic expansion will house airfield electrical associates and infrastructure leaders from the firm to strengthen RS&H’s local presence and capabilities.
St. Louis is a special city for RS&H Executive Vice President and National Operations Leader Rodney Bishop, PE, as he began his career working for the St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) during some of its pivotal development projects. Bishop recalls, “It was the first airport that I was truly dedicated to for years”. He has many fond memories of the city, from earning his professional engineering license to volunteering with the Special School District of St. Louis County and escorting students onto the airfield for tours. The opportunity to open an office in St. Louis brings his 30+ year career full circle.
“We are looking forward to expanding our presence in the Midwest and helping clients further evolve and strengthen the city and beyond,” said Bishop. “Personally, I am honored that our company is establishing roots where it all started for me.”
Office leader, life-long St. Louis resident, and Associate Vice President of Electrical Engineering, Rob Roseman, PE, joined RS&H one year ago and has been diligently working to establish this new office and position the firm and the St. Louis team for success. He says, “From day one my goal has been to grow an electrical team to serve our aviation clients nationwide while expanding into other infrastructure markets. With St. Louis as the hub, we have made great strides in less than a year – adding five professionals – from new graduates to senior project managers with decades of aviation experience who have a heart to pass on their expertise to the next generation”. Roseman is a licensed professional engineer in 26 states and brings over 25 years of experience to RS&H. His extensive knowledge spans FAA regulations, ICAO standards, and US military guidelines, ensuring a robust understanding of airport electrical and lighting systems. As a dual-degree graduate of both University of Missouri – St Louis and – Columbia, Roseman also brings strength to the team with his local knowledge.
“For over twenty years I have provided electrical engineering for a variety of clients in St. Louis and across the country in the transportation and facility sectors as well as aviation. It feels great to be at the cornerstone of this new office for RS&H. I can’t wait to see how we are able to help support this growing community,” said Roseman.
The St. Louis office is a symbol of commitment and growth for the firm. As are the strategic new hires over the last few months to support the growing needs in the Midwestern region. Chad Mathes, PE, Principal Airfield Engineer said, “We have an increasingly strong team throughout this region, and we are excited to bring on more associates in our St. Louis, MO office location.” Mathes is also a Missouri native with over 27 years of experience and five with RS&H. He graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and has spent most of his career working on airport design at both passenger and military airports. The new St. Louis team seamlessly integrates into the regional landscape, supported by a robust nationwide network of resources and industry experts.
